Clear Printer Queue

To clear a persistent print job in the Windows printer queue, you can either cancel individual jobs or clear the entire queue. To cancel a specific job, open the printer's queue, right-click the job, and select "Cancel". To clear the entire queue, right-click on the printer in the Devices and Printers window, select "See what's printing," and then right-click on the print queue and select "Cancel all documents". If this doesn't work, you can try restarting the Print Spooler service.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:

  1. 1. Accessing the Print Queue:
    • Open Settings (Windows + I).
    • Click on "Devices" and then "Printers & scanners".
    • Select your printer and click "Open queue".
  1. 2. Canceling Individual Jobs:
    • Right-click on the specific print job you want to remove.
    • Select "Cancel".
  1. 3. Clearing the Entire Queue:
    • Right-click on the printer in the Devices and Printers window.
    • Select "See what's printing".
    • Right-click on the print queue itself and select "Cancel all documents" or "Clear".
  1. 4. Restarting the Print Spooler (if necessary):
    • Open the Services console (type "services.msc" in the search bar).
    • Find the "Print Spooler" service.
    • Stop the service.
    • Delete all files in the following folder: C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
    • Start the Print Spooler service.
