How to Print and Cut with Silhouette

Print and Cut with Silhouette America Cutters and Silhouette Studio

This guide will show you exactly how to print and cut with your Silhouette Cutter.

1. Open Silhouette Studio

2. Navigate to the Right Side of your screen and open the Page Set Up Panel

Ensure the settings are the same as in the image above.

3. On the Page Setup Panel, click on Registration Marks

Ensure the settings are the same as in the image above.

4. Go to File -> Print Page Set Up and make sure the settings are the same as below:

5. Lastly go to File -> Print
   Open your Printer Preferences Window (where you change your quality of print etc)

On your specific inkjet printer make sure of the following settings:
Page Size: A4
Fit to Page : Off / None
Scale : 100%

6. Now you can close the print screen and start adding images to your sheet to print and cut:

Ensure you don't cross the red line and do not add images to the cross-hatch pattern on the sheet, this will make the registration fail.

7. Print your Sheet

Print your sheet on your printer. Make sure to double check the page size, fit to page settings and output page size to make sure it doesn't shrink or adjust the size of your print out.

8. Once you have the sheet printed go to the SEND screen

Select your Sticker Paper.

9. Load your media into the cutter without a cutting mat

10. Now you are ready to send your artwork to be cut.

Your cutter will scan the registration marks printed on your sheet to calibrate where your images are. Do not adjust or change any setting, or artwork after you have printed your sheet as this will change where the images are according to your already printed registration marks.
