📝 Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prepare Your Design
- Ensure your sublimation print is mirrored before pressing.
- Pre-Press the Puzzle (Crucial!)
- Lightly press the puzzle for 5–10 seconds to remove any moisture and ensure it lays flat.
- Protect Your Setup & Position
- Place protective paper (butcher paper or a Teflon sheet) on the bottom platen of your heat press.
- Lay the puzzle face up on the protective paper.
- Place the mirrored sublimation print face down on top of the puzzle. Secure with heat-resistant tape.
- Alternative Method: Place the print face up, then the puzzle face down onto the print. Secure with tape.
- Cover the top with another sheet of protective paper.
- Press & Monitor
- Press using the settings recommended above.
- Post-Press Care
- Peel Immediately: Carefully remove the sublimation paper while the puzzle is still hot.
- Cool Flat: Allow the puzzle to cool completely on a flat surface. Placing a light, flat weight (e.g., a book) on top can help prevent warping.
⚠️ Key Tips for Success
- No Moisture: Pre-pressing is vital to prevent bubbling or uneven transfers.
- Secure Taping: Prevents "ghosting" or blurred images caused by shifting.
- Work Quickly Post-Press: Removing the paper while hot ensures the best ink release.
